Explanation

1" core Foil tube with an inner diameter of 1"
3" core Foil

tube with an inner diameter of 3"

Carrier thickness Thickness of the carrier PET foil in Fm
Cooling stage

The stage in the production process after roller stamping, but before foil release

Flakes Lacquer residue that remains after foil release
Foil projection

Total foil width - net width(edge/surface feeding)

Hot stamping Transfer technology
Release

The final process in the stamping operation.  After a short cooling period, the transferred lacquer layers are separated (released) from the carrier foil and fed to the take-up reel

Rewind cutting Use of a rotary circular blade to cut the foil track created between the supply and take-up units
Roller stamping die

A silicon die built into special machines that acts on the bottom side of the carrier foil by means of pressure and temperature.  In this way, it determines the transfer width.

Stamping foil PET film coated with lacquer layers
Stamping pressure

The pressure that the roller stamping die/stamping wheel applies to the stamping foil

Stamping wheels Very similar to a roller stamping die--only narrower because it is used for edges
Standard cutting width Standard width as used by KURZ
Substrate The material to be coated
Supply unit

The unit that takes up the foil in roll form and releases it under a controlled tension by means of a brake mechanism

Take-up unit Unit that collects (takes up) the spent carrier foil in roll form primarily by means of a rotary motor
Transfer technology  Transfer of lacquer layers from a PET carrier by means of pressure and temperature
Unwind cutting Blade or rotary blade cutting of the entire foil roll
