What is Touchwood? It is a lacquer-not paper or foil.

Which terms the industrial sector is also using for TOUCHWOOD® foils ?

Which substrates are suitable?

MDF, HDF, PVC, ABS, PMMA, PS and WPC, veneer, solid wood, and possibly Melamine

 

Who supplies the technology? It is supplied by Kurz or by Kurz in partnership with leading machine manufacturers.
How durable is TOUCHWOOD®? This depends on the substrate used and the stamping parameters.  We can provide detailed information. 

Which speeds can be achieved?

 

Depending on the machine and the specific usage, application speeds of approximately 2-40 m/mm can be reached.

Which patterns can be created?

Realistic wood patterns, unicolors and a wide variaty of fantasy designs.

 

How long can the foil be stored?

It can be stored up to 12 months at recommended storage conditions described in the technical specifications.

 

Is special equipment necessary for using TOUCHWOOD®-foils, f.ex. for exhausting gas etc. ?

 

No, because using TOUCHWOOD® foils is solvent and emission-free.

How should the carrier foil be disposed of ?

Normally it can be disposed of with the household trash, but corresponding regulations of every country should be followed.

 

Is it possible to recycle the carrier foil?

Theoretically, yes.  Unfortunately, disposal is currently cheaper than recycling.
